A naval centre and modern town... but the reason it's known across the world is it's UNESCO supported old town which is in an ongoing state of restoration.
Slightly frayed around the edges with wonderful murals, some of which have added contributions from some of the local youth, it's quite wonderful.
Never seen the like...
